muralist, D. Jeffrey Mims was born April 28, 1954 in North Carolina.
He studied at the School of Design at the Rhode - Island, graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (g.Filadelfiya, Pennsylvania). Was awarded a grant from the Fund Elizabeth Greenshields (The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation) .In 1981 Mims returned to Florence, where he continued his studies at the American artist Ben Long. In 2000 he opened a school of fine arts (Mims Studios), learning traditional methods of painting and drawing.
