Andre Marie Pierre Brazil (fr. André Marie Pierre Brasilier) - modern and still living French painter. Born in 1929, his parents were artists, and it is only natural that Brazil from an early age showed interest in the visual arts. In 1949 he began training of painting in the National School of Fine Arts (Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts). In 1952, he received the first award: Florence Blumenthal Price Award (in Florence). In 1959 he had his first solo exhibition (at Galerie Drouet, Paris). Since then: many exhibitions in France and around the world (including the St. Petersburg Hermitage), the opening of his own gallery (Galerie Bac Saint-Germain), a collection of a variety of international awards and as a consequence - worldwide recognition and material well-being, at least based on the fact that artist's work regularly go into private collections from the auction of the leading auction houses.
